The design of a newspaper with the subject “memory” requires the elements typography, photography and an own subject as a basis to work with. My own subject I find by asking myself: what does memory stand for? Memory stands for past experiences which are mentally visualised – a kind of playback of earlier experiences. A film of the past goes through my head. I see children’s movies, tales and stories and the most important scenes in them. In my project these scenes of the children’s stories are represented on each page; like Snow White (hand with apple), Alice in wonderland (clock) or Cinderella (shoe). Looking at the newspaper you will discover the word “Kindheit” (childhood).
